Learning takes place in one of our 4 classrooms. The teacher to child ratio is maximum 1 to 6 (with teaching assistants as required), creating opportunities for one-on-one instruction as well as small and large groups. It covers a broad and balanced curriculum, addressing specific challenges in relating, communicating, thinking and sensory perception.
Our classrooms are light and airy and decorated with the relevant learning material. Each classroom is equipped with the necessary tools and latest technology (including interactive whiteboards) to aspire and enable learners to reach their maximum potential.
Our Sensory Room assist our learners with focusing better in the classroom as well as minimizing various behaviour issues which are sensory based. It is a specially designed area in our school building which combines a range of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. These include lights, colours, sounds, textures, and opportunity for movement all within a safe environment that allows the learner using it to explore and interact without risk.
Sensory play builds nerve connections within the developing brain’s neural pathways, which trigger a child’s inclination for and ability in competing more complex learning tasks.
We have a beautiful Play House painted in a concept about gratitude and thankfulness. Children learn through curiosity, imagination and action. Pretending or imaginative play, such as a Play house, can help develop a child’s social and emotional skills, improve language, encourage problem-solving and build other developmental skills. But first and foremost, a Play house is fun.
Sensory swing area, playground and soft play equipment
Not only does sensory swings sooth and calm overly stimulated senses, it also strengthens the vestibular system and increase balance and co-ordination. Our learners can benefit and enjoy this shaded area covered with synthetic grass. Our playground is perfect for learners to bond. The space consist of a grassed area with a Jungle gym, a shaded sandpit, and a paved painted hop scotch area. We also have Sensory soft play equipment that provides a safe and fun environment for our learners to interact and develop essential life skills and improve gross motor abilities.
